HaulLedger (the "App") is a private, on-device tax tracker for truck drivers. We do not operate any backend servers, do not collect personal data, and do not share information with third parties. This policy explains what that means in concrete terms.
Nothing on our side. Every settlement statement, receipt, fuel ticket, trip log, overnight, and expense you enter is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not have a copy. We do not have an account database. We do not have user records.
If you enable iCloud sync in the App, your data is replicated to your own private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. CloudKit is encrypted in transit and at rest, and only you can read it — Apple's policies govern that storage (apple.com/legal/privacy). HaulLedger never sees your iCloud data. iCloud sync is off by default and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.
If you opt in to mileage tracking, HaulLedger uses iPhone GPS to log trips and detect state-line crossings for IFTA purposes. Location data never leaves your device. We do not transmit it, log it, or share it. iOS will ask for your permission before the App accesses location, and you can revoke that permission at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
HaulLedger supports Sign in with Apple as an optional convenience for identifying your data across devices. If you use it, Apple shares only the credential token described in their developer documentation. We do not receive your real email unless you choose to share it. Sign in with Apple is not required to use the App.
HaulLedger is offered as an auto-renewing subscription billed entirely through Apple's StoreKit. We never see your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data: apple.com/legal/privacy. Receipts are validated using Apple's on-device receipt mechanism.
We do not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs in HaulLedger. If you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymized App usage statistics with us through App Store Connect Analytics. This is controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings; we have no way to bypass that toggle.
If you opt in, HaulLedger schedules local notifications for settlement reminders, IFTA quarter-end alerts, and per-diem milestones. These are generated and delivered entirely on your device.
We do not sell, share, rent, or transmit your data to any third party. There is no advertising network, no data broker, no marketing partner. The App makes no network requests to any servers we operate, because we do not operate any.
HaulLedger is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone of any age.
If we ever change how the App handles data, we will publish an updated policy here and prompt you in the App before any new data leaves your device.
